Short answer

Choose private lessons when owner skill, home context, aggression work, or gradual coaching is central. Consider Board & Train when the dog is an appropriate boarding candidate and would benefit from daily professional structure, followed by strong owner-transfer work.

Private lessons

Lessons keep the owner inside the teaching process from the start. They are usually the clearer fit when the main challenge happens in the home, the handler needs coaching, or the case requires gradual exposure and decision-making.

Board & Train

Board & Train provides daily professional repetition and environmental structure. It is not a handoff-and-finish service: transfer sessions and consistent home follow-through determine whether new skills remain useful with the owner.

Behavior cases

Aggression work is currently offered through private lessons only. Reactivity and fear require assessment; placement depends on safety, stress, health, and the dog's ability to function in the proposed environment.

Pricing and payment

Published package pages show current total prices. Eligible Board & Train packages may be booked with at least 50% down and weekly or biweekly invoices ending by completion. Payment in full receives a 5% discount. Lesson and group formats are paid upfront.

Questions people ask

Will Board & Train work without owner practice?

No responsible program should promise that. The dog must learn that the same expectations and reinforcement apply with the owner, in the owner's environments.

Can I visit during Board & Train?

Visit and update arrangements depend on the specific package and training plan. Confirm them before booking rather than assuming one policy applies to every stay.

Which option is faster?

Daily professional training can create more repetitions quickly, but useful transfer and generalization still take time. The best format is the one that safely addresses the actual weak link.
